A campaign about open government starts with an accessible website. Here is what we aim for, and how to tell us when we miss.

What we aim for

  • Large tap targets and readable text on phones, tablets and desktops.
  • Full keyboard navigation with visible focus indicators.
  • Proper headings, labels and alt text so screen readers can follow every page.
  • Colour choices with strong contrast; information never carried by colour alone.
  • Plain-language writing throughout.
